AUGUST, 2021 (CHICAGO) — Twilight Kitchen joined with more than 50 restaurants and chefs, including One Off Hospitality, Goose Island, Longman & Eagle, and Kikwetu Coffee Company to present delicious specialty food and drinks during the annual Green City Market’s premier Chef BBQ event Thursday, Sept. 9, in Lincoln Park.

Twilight Kitchen offered its special take on an heirloom tomato gazpacho made with Moroccan spices and sherry vinegar reduction. The dish was prepared with produce sourced entirely from Nichols Farm / www.nicholsfarm.com in Marengo Illinois, and included heirloom tomatoes, sweet bell peppers, pimento peppers, jalapeños, celery, roasted sweet corn, English cucumbers, vidalia and tropea onions, shallots, garlic, cantaloupe and honeydew melon.

Vendors also offered craft cocktails, locally-roasted coffee, wine, and cold beer from Chicago’s best restaurants, brewers, and winemakers.

The event was a fundraiser for Green City Market, a nonprofit organization that supports local farmers, community education, and expanding access to sustainably-produced food. For more info see: GreenCityMarket.org/ChefBBQ.
